In August of 2019, Metalcraft opened a brand new branch in Hobsonville, Auckland.
The building, constructed by Murphy Property Developments Ltd is Metalcraft's second branch in the Auckland region, increasing Metalcraft's capacity of supplying profiles such as Corrugated Iron and MC760 to the region.
The new branch is manufacturing Corrugate, MC760, ridging, flashings and have a dedicated Sheetmetal shop for heavy gauge aluminium flashings and welded flashing requirements, such as saddles and cricket flashings. Alongside manufacturing, Hobsonville also provides the installation of Metalcraft's products including Metalcraft Insulated Panels to both the residential and commercial markets.
The products used on the Hobsonville building was Metcom 930 with Dridex in Colorsteel® Endura Titania along with Alsynite Topglass GC Ultrasafe for the roofing and Kāhu® in Colorsteel® Endura Storm Blue for the wall cladding. The Metcom 930 with Dridex was installed without Roof Safety Mesh underneath to give a clean appearance underneath. It is an advantageous methodology for the construction programme.
